During the Conference on Innovation Procurement, in Tallinn, Estonia, the representatives from the Marine-EO project (DGPM and FRCT) had the opportunity to share the legal and technical challenges of a PCP among similar European projects. The event also allowed to establish a more direct contact with the EAFIP initiative that may result in a future invitation of Marine-EO to share the PCP experience with other newcomers to this area.
It was clear to all participants the strong EC commitment to increase and improve the use of this financial instrument across Europe, with more budget available for the next work programme (2018-2020) and the future Multiannual Financial Framework.
Marine-EO is proud to be leading the first European PCP in Earth Observation and to take part in a restricted group of public procurers in Europe that are paving the way to other innovative procurement initiatives that can make significant improvements to the European Single Market.
